A New, Cheaper Hybrid is Being Created by Ford

Ford is currently working on a bran new hybrid powertrain for the ever-popular Ford Fusion, as well as the Ford C-Max concept vehicle. The engine of this hybrid will gain in miles per gallon output, while also being effectively cheaper costing less. How is that even possible?

How exactly does Ford achieve this? Well, first off they don't use one hybrid engine, they use two!

Ford's hybrid system actually utilizes two electric motors…

Ford Tech Improves to Read Texts to You

Oh, the wonders of texting: It's fast, it's easy, it's simple. And, with the most recent (free) update to the Ford SYNC software, drivers can safely receive text messages while driving. The Message Access Profile (MAP) streams and reads incoming texts out loud, allowing the driver to keep both hands on the wheel and both eyes on the road.

The technologically-advanced SYNC, G1 V3.2.2, works with Generation-1 equipped Ford models from the 2011 and 2012 model years. By voluntarily integrating the Bluetooth standard MAP software into the system, Ford is taking an aggressive stance on…

40MPG x 3 = Ford

You don't have to be a math wizard to know higher fuel economy equals more long-term savings. Just like you don't have to be good with numbers to know that if you choose a dealership offering three 40-mpg models, the odds of finding a super-fuel-efficient vehicle are three times as likely.

This is exactly why so many drivers in the Snohomish area choose Bickford Ford. Even if it's their first stop, the odds are good, it will likely be their last.

Now Bickford Ford offers many fuel efficient new Ford models. The three most efficient, however, are…

Ford Focuses on Finances, in Frankfurt

Like any auto show, the Frankfurt Motor Show was an opportunity for American automaker Ford to strut their stuff. And that's exactly what they did, both in terms of products (i.e., a new electric bicycle concept and Fiesta ST Concept) and financial performance.

Now, before you scoff and call Ford's finances dire, understand that over the past two years they've successfully paid off $19.6 billion of their debt. That's $9.8 billion per year and approximately $.81billion per month! And yes, that is something worth talking about. And, so Ford did.

"Earlier this week…

Ford F-150 Wins 2011 Initial Quality Award from J.D. Power and Associates

At Bickford Ford, serving the greater Snohomish area, we haven't met one client who doesn't care about quality.  As such we though pickup drivers would be interested to know J.D. Power has awarded the Ford F-150 with a 2011 Initial Quality Award within the large truck category.

Are we surprised? No. Strong consumer preference sets precedence. For sixty-three years, the Ford F-Series has been a perennial sales leader within its class. And, with an exciting new lineup of engines (i.e., the 3.7-liter Ti-VCT V6 and available twin-turbocharged EcoBoost) as well as three different cab variants…

Solar Option for Ford's EV Cars Coming

We have some big news for Ford fans interested in ditching their gas vehicle for something more environmentally friendly. Ford plans on having most of their vehicle line up at Bickford Ford (located at 3100 Bickford Avenue Snohomish, WA 98290) become all electric by the end of 2012. In order to cement this and get into action, Ford has to power these vehicles. In doing so, the company joined forces with a solar power maker.

Ford's partnership with SunPower will support its "Drive Green for Life" program - offering a 2.5-kilowatt rooftop solar panel system, installed on a Ford…

Ford Synchronizes Sync Pricing with Consumers' Budgets

If you've been noticing the cost of commodities and services rising, rest assured you're not alone. People across the country are feeling the pinch. Unfortunately, most companies aren't doing much to help consumers who are finding it increasingly difficult to meet demands, never mind indulge in the extras. Operative word: most. Ford, is taking a slightly different approach.

Contrary to the practice of so many businesses today, the American automaker has decided to cut the price of their Sync system on the forthcoming 2012 Ford Explorer and Edge. The convenient, safe add-on will now be available for…

Ford Creates Gaskets Using Recycled Tires and Soy

Ford Creates Gaskets Using Recycled Tires and Soy

Reducing, reusing, and recycling...three missions American automaker Ford outlines in their global sustainability strategy. And while, we don't always talk about it, the company is working hard to fulfill its environmental commitments.

In cooperation with Recycled Polymeric Materials (RPM), Ford has found a way to prevent retired tires from going straight to the landfill. By combining recycled tire particulate with soy, the two companies have developed lighter, eco-friendly gaskets to be used in Ford vehicles. Seat cushions, for example are made using soy. Plastics are filled with wheat straw. Recycled…
